TRANSPORTATION & PARKING

What's the best way to get to the Festival?

With very limited parking and lots of traffic, public transportation is by far the best way to get to the Festival. There will be other events happening on the Camden Waterfront the weekend of the festival so we strongly urge you to take public transportation whenever possible.

Here are some great alternatives to driving to the Festival:

RiverLink Ferry

If you’re coming from Philly the Ferry is a great option. It drops you off right at the Festival entrance and runs every 1/2 hour.

Ferry service for the weekend of the XPoNential Music Festival will run express concert service (as soon as it is full it will depart as needed) and up to a ½ hour after the event ends each night.

More River Link Ferry info here

River Line Park & Ride

Convenient riverfront service. With 20 nearby stations from Trenton to Camden, including stops right in the heart of the Waterfront, it’s much more convenient than driving, and there is FREE parking at most River LINE stations. The River Line has connections to PATCO, BurLink, and NJ TRANSIT Rail and Bus. Park and ride. The Pennsauken Transit Center and Rte 73 Pennsauken station offer free parking.
Complete River Line information and schedules* here.

*NOTE: The RiverLINE schedule indicates that the last train departs at 9:29pm, however the RiverLINE does provide service for Concertgoers, who board a train at the Entertainment stop (at BB&T).  The train does not leave until everyone is on board who needs to be. This train takes riders back to the Pennsauken/Rt 73 Park and Ride, where riders exit the train and, free of charge, board a New Jersey Transit bus that takes them to each RiverLINE stop all the way back to Trenton. Riders need to purchase a ticket at the platform before getting on the Riverline from an automated machine.

Questions about the RiverLine service? Call their Customer Service at 856-580-5634.

If my only option is to drive to the Festival where should I park?

If you must drive consider carpooling with other Festival fans! Be sure to leave plenty of time to avoid the crowds. Driving directions to the Festival can be found here. The location of the Festival is: 1 Harbour Blvd, Camden, NJ 08103

Due to construction and events at the Waterfront this year, parking lots with discounted pricing for the XPoNential Music Festival are very limited

The closest discounted parking lots (which will cost $10) are located on Federal Street as you head toward the Waterfront. Look for the electronic signs that say “XPoNential Music Festival Parking.” Once the Federal Street lots are full, you can choose to head north (turn right  on South Delaware/Jersey Joe Walcott Blvd) for additional discounted Festival lots located just above the Ben Franklin Bridge OR head south (turn left on S. Delaware Ave) to park in BB&T Pavilion lots (which will cost $30).

Space is limited and on a first come, first served basis.

Another option is to park at a free Park and Ride lot in Pennsauken and take the Riverline train which stops right at the Camden Waterfront. Click here for complete information and details.

If you are not able to get into a designated discounted parking lot the price for parking is $30+.

What should I expect in terms of weather and heat?

It’s late-July in the Northeast… expect hot weather! Please follow these Tips for Beating the Heat:

  • Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day (even if you don’t feel thirsty). Try to avoid drinks that dehydrate the body. And, if you’re an XPN Member we’ll have beverages available in the Members Only Area. There will also be a free water refill station for everyone.
  • Dress for the heat. Wear loose-fitting, lightweight, light-colored clothing in layers. Avoid dark colors that absorb the sun’s rays.
  • Wear a hat or bandana to cover your head and neck.
  • Bring a wash cloth or bandana soaked in ice water to wrap around your neck.
  • Wear Sunscreen. Protect yourself from sun exposure even on cloudy or hazy days. In addition to dressing for heat apply a broad-spectrum (protection against both UVA and UVB rays) sunscreen and reapply as indicated, wear eye protection (wraparound sunglasses that provide 100 percent UV ray protection) and wear a wide-brimmed hat.
  • Take frequent breaks to hydrate and cool yourself. Avoid strenuous exercise during the hottest part of the day.

We will have a couple of misting tents at the festival – so make frequent visits to cool off.

Smoking is not permitted by ordinance at any Camden County parks including Wiggins Park. You must leave the festival grounds in order to smoke. Please remember to obtain a wristband for reentry before you exit. BB&T Pavilion allows smoking in designated areas only.
