VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

Volunteers are the heartbeats of the XPoNential experience. Volunteers make the magic happen and are one of the reasons that we won “Best of Philly Music Festival 2023”.

With over 300 rockstar volunteers needed throughout the week and weekend, this is your chance to join the ultimate backstage crew.

Whether you’re pouring beverages for members or giving out wristbands, your assistance keeps the good vibes going. It’s not just about volunteering; it’s about becoming part of the festival’s experience.

Festival shifts are generally 3-5 hours long, but the memories you’ll make as an XPN Fest Volunteer will last for a lifetime!

Individuals can request to volunteer at XPoNential Music Festival 2025
in one or several of the following festival areas:

Complete a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evening shift in a position marked with * and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win an XPN Fest Merch Pack which includes complimentary XPN Welcomes tickets and more!

  • Friday 3:30pm – 9:30pm, Saturday 11am – 8pm, Sunday 11am – 6:30pm

     

    Pour and dispense beverages to members in the members only area. Requires standing for the whole shift.
  • Friday 3:30pm – 9:30pm, Saturday 11am – 8pm, Sunday 11am – 7pm


Friendly, outgoing individuals are needed to greet festival-goers and answer questions about the festival and waterfront attractions.
Requires standing for the whole shift.

  • Friday 4pm – 8pm, Saturday 12pm -7pm, Sunday 12pm – 6pm
  • Assist XPN Membership Staff with a variety of tasks including greeting,  providing information about XPN membership and facilitating member
  • Bring activations. Great for current XPN members who love talking about their positive experiences with membership.
  • Enjoy a great view of the River Stage!
  • Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 5:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am – 1pm
     
  • Help guests find the fun by placing wayfinding and instruction signage around the festival grounds. Requires attention to detail, walking, standing, and a decent sense of direction!
  • Friday 3:30pm – 9:30pm, Saturday 11am – 8pm, Sunday 11am – 7pm

    Apply wristbands to attendees for re-entry and membership areas.

    Volunteers in this area must be comfortable working in a location that will at times be fast-paced.
  • Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 9:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am – 8pm

    Help load  in vendors on Thursday before the festival and during the festival. Assist vendors with set-up and breakdown of tables and booths on-site. Requires customer service skills. Must be comfortable with some heavy lifting and responding moving quickly to assist sponsors across the site. 
  • Friday 3:30pm – 9:30pm, Saturday 11am – 6:30pm, Sunday 11am – 5:30pm

    Provide excellent customer service while assisting guests with ticketing and other general questions.
  • Setup Crew 
    • *Wednesday 8:30am – 5pm, *Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 5:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am – 1pm
    • Help the XPN Fest production team with load in, setup before, during, and breakdown after the festival Wednesday through Monday. Volunteers also distribute materials to various festival locations, and set up tables!  
    • Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. 
    • Requires lifting, walking, standing the entire shift. 
    • Preference for volunteers who are willing to lend vehicles to transport materials from XPN Offices to Wiggins Park on Wednesday. 
  • Breakdown Crew
    • **Monday 8am – 1:30pm
    • Help the XPN Fest production team breakdown after the festival on Monday. 
    • Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. 
    • Requires lifting, walking, and packing vehicles. 
    • Preference for volunteers who are willing to lend vehicles to transport materials from Wiggins Park to XPN Offices. 
    • Lunch provided after load out.
       

**Redeem 1 pair of complimentary tickets to XPN Welcomes Concert when you complete this shift.

  • Friday & Saturday 9am – 6:30pm, Sunday 9am – 5:30pm

     

  • Check in your fellow volunteers, hand out t-shirts and credentials, guide them to their sites and answer questions.
  • Friday 2:00pm – 9:30pm, Saturday 11am – 8pm, Sunday 11am – 7pm

    High energy, outgoing, friendly, and customer service oriented individuals are needed to help promote XPN! Tasks will include, but are not limited to: assisting with the XPN prize wheel, giving out swag, answering guests’ questions about the festival and the station.

Festival Volunteer Criteria

  • 18 years or older
    • Individuals 16 – 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent if selected to volunteer
  • Provide excellent customer service (warm and friendly)
  • Able to move and lift supplies up to 30 lbs
  • Follow instructions and work well with others on a team 
  • Be available to volunteer at least (1) one day between 9/17 – 9/22
  • Attend (1) virtual XPN Fest Volunteer Orientation on Wednesday, September 10 

Festival Volunteer Perks

  • Complimentary access to XPoNential Music Festival site each day they are scheduled
  • Complimentary XPN Fest 2025 volunteer t-shirt and badge to wear during their shifts
  • Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages each day they are scheduled
  • Complimentary lunches Friday 9/19 – Sunday 9/21, 11am – 1pm

  • *Volunteers who complete evening shifts on Saturday or Sunday will be entered into a drawing for an XPN Fest Pack which includes (1) pair of WXPN Welcomes tickets, XPN Fest merch, and more! 

 

Setup & Breakdown Volunteer Perks

  • Complimentary lunch when scheduled for two shifts on Wednesday 9/17 or Thursday 9/18
  • Redeem (1) Wednesday 9/17  or Thursday 9/18 shift for (1) day of complimentary access to the XPoNential Music Festival between Friday 9/19 – Sunday 9/21. Attendance can only be redeemed for you and cannot be transferred to another individual to attend.

XPoNential Music Festival 2025 Application Process

This year we are excited to use a new process and technology to manage festival volunteer scheduling and confirmations. The process to sign up to volunteer for the festival will differ if you’re a current XPN Volunteer or are new to volunteering at XPN events.

Returning XPN Fest Volunteer or Current XPN Volunteer

If you have volunteered at XPN Fest or at an XPN related event in the last year

    1. Complete the XPoNential Music Festival Volunteer Application 
    2. Select volunteer shifts in desired areas and times on XPN Job List 
    3. Receive approved shift confirmations within 3-4 weeks after requesting shifts
    4. Respond to coordinator to confirm the shifts you’d like to accept or decline

New XPN Fest Volunteer 

You have never volunteered at XPN Fest or an XPN event

    1. Complete the XPoNential Music Festival Volunteer Application 
    2. Complete XPN Volunteer Intake Form online (you will receive an email invite to complete this form)
    3. Select desired volunteer shifts on XPN Job List (you will receive an email invite with instructions)
    4. Receive approved shift confirmations within 3-4 weeks after requesting shifts
    5. Respond to coordinator to confirm the shifts you’d like to accept or decline
